For my 3 pound project, I have decided to learn how to cook. As I am
heading into college and becoming an adult, I will have to live by myself
and not rely on my parents to give me food. Along with that, I have lots of
allergies, so I’m not able to eat fast food or eat at most restaurants. My
whole life, most of the food I eat was cooked by my parents, so when I live
by myself, I will have to learn how to cook so that I can eat food.
I have cooked easy things before like rice and pasta, but I want to learn
how to cook different things. I will have help from my parents and the
internet if I need it. Both of my parents are good cooks so it will hopefully
be easy to learn how to cook.
I don’t have a lot of free time, so I probably only have time to learn how
to cook on the weekends. To stay on top of this project, I will have to make
sure I set time for myself over the weekend to cook. To make sure I stay on
track, I will set time up with my parents to cook food so that I don’t
forget.
Right now, I can think of meals to make, however, I can’t cook anything
until the weekend. This weekend I will probably make my first meal.
